Description	:	LONGFORD-- Eugene Victor Frigon, 80, died Sunday, May 20, 2012 at the Abilene Memorial Hospital. Mr. Frigon was born June 14, 1931 near Wakefield, the son of Oscar and Caroline (Frank) Frigon. He grew up in the area and attended local schools. On Nov. 11, 1962, he married Gaylene Steinbruck. All their married life was spent farming in the Wakefield and Longford communities. His wife preceded him in death on July 28, 1999. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Frankie Mullin. Mr. Frigon was born June 14, 1931 near Wakefield, the son of Oscar and Caroline (Frank) Frigon. He grew up in the area and attended local schools. On Nov. 11, 1962, he married Gaylene Steinbruck. All their married life was spent farming in the Wakefield and Longford communities. His wife preceded him in death on July 28, 1999. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Frankie Mullin. He had been a member of the Industry Lions' Club. Survivors include three daughters, Del Fischer of Larned, JoEllen Geveshausen of Vermillion, S.D. and Nicole Dulohery of Abilene; one son, Dallas Frigon of Longford; one sister, Emily Roberts of Quinter; and four grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 25, at the Oak Hill Presbyterian Church with the Revs. Harold Gillispie and Dustin Mullin officiating. Interment will follow in the Rose Meron Cemetery north of Longford. The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Danner Funeral Home. The family suggests memorials in his name be made to the Eugene Frigon memorial fund to be designated later or a charity of the donor's choice.
