Read More	Well Known Lady Buried Wednesday Mrs. Eva Hardester Died Last Monday Mrs. Eva Alice Hardester, one of the city's most estimable and highly esteemed matrons, died at her home on Main street Monday evening. She was 75 years of age. Mrs. Hardester had been ill for several months, and following a fall in which a bone was fractured, she grew steadily worse until the end came. She was a descendant of old Somerset families, the daughter of the late Benjamin F. and Julia F. Daugherty of Crisfield, and the widow of the late Abram L. Hardester. Mrs. Hardester was a gracious and charming person, well read and an interesting conversationalist, serene and sympathetic, a firm friend and one who enjoyed friendship beyond the average, a helpful person to others, and had been active in social, fraternal, church and civic affairs for many years. She was a Past Matron of Chesapeake Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, a member of the Senior Board of the McCready Hospital, a member of the Somerset County Homemakers, and had for years been an active and valuable member of Immanuel Methodist Church. In the community she was held in the highest regard and affection by everyone who knew her. Funeral services were conducted from the Covington Funeral Home at 2:30 o'clock, Wednesday afternoon, with Rev. A. B. Frye, pastor of Immanuel Church, officiating, assisted by Rev. E. E. Garland, pastor of the Baptist and Rev. Louis Randall, Jr., pastor of the Methodist Church in Pocomoke City. Interment was in Sunnyridge Memorial Park. Bearers were Harold Evans, Eugene Wharton, Billy Jim Tawes, Henry Riggin, Fieldy Dize end Glenwood Evans. Members of the Eastern Star acted as a Guard of Honor, and the organization attending the funeral in a body, held services at the graveside. Surviving her are two sons: William D.
