She attended school in Riceville. She resided in Texas for 25 years. In 1975 she returned to Iowa and resided in New Hampton. She was united in marriage to Ed Nargang on December 21, 1978. She worked as a nurses aid at the Health Care Manor now the New Hampton Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
