Mr. Felt was taking Mrs. Mantz to the home of her daughter, Mrs. Constance Ehly, at Logan, Kansas, where she had been making her home. Mrs. Mantz had been visiting at the home of her sisters, Mrs. Nell Throckmorton and Mrs. Adelia Bates of Delphos and Mrs. W.P. Grinage of Glasco, and other relatives for the past few weeks. The accident occurred about 4:00 p.m. and Mrs. Mantz and Mr. Felt were taken to the Beloit hospital where Mrs. Mantz died a few minutes after arrival. Obituary Evaline Louise Colton, daughter of Henry and Esther Colton was born in Blairstown, Iowa July 25, 1867 and departed this life April 3, 1948 at the age of 80 years, 8 months and 8 days. At the age of 16 she came with her parents to Kansas and settled in Cloud County near Glasco, Kansas. She was united in marriage to William Henry Mantz on March 15, 1886 and to this union were born three daughters, Nona, Estella and Constance. She leaves to mourn her passing her three daughters, Mrs. Nona Johnson of Kensington, Kansas; Mrs. Estella Jacobs of Hayden, New Mexico; and Mrs. Constance Ehly of Logan, Kansas with whom she made her home; four brothers: Ed Colton of Gaylord, Kansas; George Colton of Los Angeles, Calif.; Lawrence Colton of Long Beach, Calif.; and Lester Colton of Glasco, Kansas; three sisters: Mrs. Nell Throckmorton and Mrs. Adelia Bates, both of Delphos, Kansas; and Mrs. Lula Grinage of Glasco, Kansas; 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren, a large number of nieces and nephews and a large circle of friends. She spent her life doing for others. She loved to travel and made many sincere friends. She was energetic and kind and had a sincere faith in Christian Science. She was a true mother devoting all of her time to her children and her home. Her husband, two brothers, two sisters and on grandson, killed in service, preceded her in death. Funeral services were conducted from the Delphos Methodist Church Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. H.G. Feldmann officiating clergyman. Music was furnished by Lester Pilcher, William Pilcher, Jack davenport and Louis Cool with Mrs. Clifford Moody, accompanist. Pallbearers were Ray Colton, Leon Amberg, Fred Holbert, Victor Colton, Herman Bates and James Colton. Interment was in the Bethel Cemetery. Hartley Funeral Service was in charge of funeral arrangements.
