Daughter of John Clarence Umbenhower and Martha Jane Pelton OBITUARY THE CHARITON HERALD-PATRIOT Chariton, Iowa Thursday, December 5, 1963 FANNIE STORM Fannie Gladys Umbenhower, daughter of John C. and Martha Pelton Umbenhower, was born in Pleasant Township, Lucas County, Iowa, on March 5, 1893, attaining the age of 70 years and nine months when called to her Heavenly Home on December 3, 1963. She became a member of the Zion Church at an early age. In 1955, she reaffirmed her faith in her Lord and Saviour during the ministry of the Rev. Glenn Williams at the Chariton Church of the Nazarene. On February 18, 1914 she married Jobe H. Storm and to this union twelve children were born, ten of whom, with their father, are left to mourn their great loss. They are Mrs. James (Thelma) Fluke of Des Moines; Mrs. Truman (Lois) Dachenbach of Humeston; Mrs. Clifford (Wanda) Hall, Caryl, Floyd and Mrs. Junior (Joan) Davidson of Chariton; Ronald of Melrose and David LaVern of Fairfield. Also surviving are 28 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, three sisters and one brother. Others bereft are those, who for many years, were privileged to call her friend and neighbor. Preceding her in death were a son, Alva Marvin, a daughter, Norma Arlene, her parents, a granddaughter and a sister. Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m., Friday, December 6, 1963 at the Beardsley-Fielding Funeral Home. The Rev. J. C. Leonard officiated at the services. Interment was made in Zion cemetery.
