' She was born February 18, 1926, at Mouth of Wilson, Va., to Howard and Hattie Halsey Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Anders and granddaughter, Jodie Anders. The body is at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home, Independence, Va. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 26, 2011, in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Independence, Va. The Rev. Ted Bartlett, the Rev. Randy Morris and the Rev. Darrin Brannock will officiate. Interment in the church cemetery. The body will lie in state at the church 30 minutes preceding the service. The family will receive friends Tuesday night from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
