She was born in Solon on May 7, 1915, and was the daughter of Walter and Jenny (Steward) Spaulding. She enjoyed being in her garden, camping and snowmobiling. Ferdona was married in Dixfield on June 1, 1933, to George A. Young who died in Rumford on Sept. 20, 1989. Funeral services will be held on Monday, Nov. 2, at 11am, at the MEADER & SON FUNERAL HOME, Franklin St., Rumford, with the Rev. Lawrence Shaw officiating. Interment will be in the Pineview Cemetery, Roxbury. Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Sunday, Nov.1, from 6-8pm.
