Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 Coroner Walter Sellegren of Stanton opened coroner’s inquest over the body at the J. L. Smith Company undertaking parlors in this city with C. G. English, Eli McMullen, and C. O. Green as a jury. The testimony of the following witnesses was heart at that time: Dr. J. C. Cooper, J. S. Honeyman, R. R. Moore, Mrs. W. D. Wise, Mrs. P. H. Peterson, MRs. Esther Anderson, and Herbert and Merle Anderson, and Dr. W. A. Lomas. Because the jury did not arrive at a decision after the examination of the witnesses it was decided to conduct an autopsy. Dr. F. A. Yoakman of Stanton performed the autopsy and when The Review was placed on the press Thursday noon that gentleman had not yet made report to the jury. The funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at four o’clock at the Methodist Church in this city. Rev. E. S. Menoher had charge of the services and burial was made in the Villisca Cemetery Wednesday morning. Florence Lydia Anderson was born in Montgomery County at the former home northeast of Villisca on January 26, 1899. At the time of her death on July 27, 1919, she was 20 years, 7 months, and 1 day of age. She had spent her entire life in this community. Several years ago she united with the Methodist Church and at the time of her death was a member of the class at Stewart school house. Those of her family who survive are: Her mother, Mrs. Esther Anderson, five brothers, Donald, Merle, Herbert, James, and Paul; and two sisters, Mrs. Cecil Wright of Red Oak and Mrs. R. D.
