Description	:	The funeral service was held in the Venus church Friday, May 15, 1942 at 2 o'clock in charge of Rev. Vincent Beebe, pastor of the Page Methodist church assisted by Rev. Maxcey of Inman and Rev. McKeown of Elgin. Burial was made in the Venus cemetery. The church was crowded with neighbors and friends, and there seemed to be as many outside as inside, who came to show their sympathy and the high esteem in which this christian woman and the family are held by all who know them. Pearl May Pease, daughter of Sarah and William Pease was born at Lynxville, Wisconsin, May 4th, 1880, and departed this life May 12, 1942 at her farm home near Venus, Nebraska, at the age of 62 yeas and 8 days. She moved to Niobrara, Nebraska with her parents when about 1 year old; remained there until she reached young womanhood. She joined the Methodist church at about the age of 12 and was a faithful member and worker in the church all her life. She is survived by her husband, Frank Vrooman, one daughter, Rose, two sons, William and Charley, two grandchildren, and five brothers, other relatives and a host of friends. A loving wife and mother, she was a kind and loving neighbor, and always could be found at the bedside of the sick, and wherever help was needed; and will be greatly missed in the home and community.
