Description	:	Frank Schirck was born in Alsace, France. He died just as the original wooden church in Mt. Carmel was being replaced by a new brick structure. A large gold cross was mounted; it was visible for miles. He was buried under a tall, white tombstone which read on one side "F.J. Schirck Died Aug 21 1881 Aged 75". On the other side "Mary A. Wife of F.J. Schirck Died June 5 1886 Aged 74." This tombstone was replaced with a new one which lists the names: Frank and Mary Ann Schirck, Rosa P., Regina, A.E. Bechler.
