Read More	SOURCE: THE MONTICELLO EXPRESS….DECEMBER 5, 1918…PAGE 5 Mrs. Maggie Osterkamp, the wife of Carl Osterkamp, who lived on the August Toenjes farm in Wayne Township, died at her home of pneumonia, following attack of influenza, last Sunday, after a short illness. She is survived by her husband and two little children, a girl about two years old and a boy four months old. These two children who were also ill, were taken to the John McDonald hospital, at Monticello, last Monday for care and treatment. She also leaves, surviving her, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Tobe Freese, and five brothers. Until October 2, she had six brothers. On that date, her bother George, an overseas soldier, died in England. Miss Freese and Carl Osterkamp were married about three years ago. They were living happily, and had ambitions for themselves and the children that came to bless their home. In a short time death and grief took the place of this earthly pleasure. The sympathy for the husband and his motherless children is widely expressed. Maggie Freese was born near Amber, about 29 years ago. Her home has always been in the vicinity of her birthplace. The funeral services were conducted at the family residence by Rev. John Wilms at 10 o'clock today. Mrs. Osterkamp was a member of the Lutheran Church of Wayne Township.
