Death resulted from a blood clot. Born Oct. 19, 1867 at Watago, Ill., Mr. Armstrong was a son of John C. and Millie J. Armstrong. When a boy the family moved to Iowa and then to Holton, and later he moved to Atchison. Mr. Armstrong began working for the Missouri Pacific Oct. 12, 1915, and retired Feb. 13, 1937, after working with the organization 22 years. A number of years ago Mr. Armstrong and Minnie Schlereth of Atchison were united in marriage. She preceded him in death on April 30, 1936, and later he and Elizabeth McPhilimy were united in marriage. Surviving are Mrs. Armstrong; four step-children, Mrs. William Leland of Denver, Mrs. Elvie Dalton of Kansas City, Mrs. Russell Farsberg of Dayton, Ia., and Walter McPhilimy of Denver, and one brother, Frank W.
