Description	:	Frederick Allen Randels was born in Pella, Iowa, on September 11, 1876. As a small boy he moved to Chester, Nebraska, where he later engaged in farming until 1920. On March 5, 1905, he was united in marriage with Miss Bertie Jenkins. To this union nine children were born, two of which died in infancy. The oldest son, David, passed away in 1947. Read More	Frederick Allen Randels was born in Pella, Iowa, on September 11, 1876. As a small boy he moved to Chester, Nebraska, where he later engaged in farming until 1920. On March 5, 1905, he was united in marriage with Miss Bertie Jenkins. To this union nine children were born, two of which died in infancy. The oldest son, David, passed away in 1947. In 1920 Mr. Randels took his family to Morgan County, Colorado. The past 13 years were spent in Fort Morgan after his retirement from the farm. He passed away on August 11, 1950. He is survived by his wife, Bertie; one son, Allen J., of Fort Morgan, Colorado; five daughters: Mrs. Alice Davis, Mrs. Lillian Hauge and Mrs. Bertha Mae Williams of Fort Morgan, and Mrs. Cecel Larson of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and Mrs. Eleanor Williams of Wheatland, Indiana; one brother, Charles of Fort Morgan; four sisters; Mrs. Fannie Spafford of Fort Morgan; Mrs. Ada Hussey of Denver; Mrs. Alta Larkins and Mrs. Mattie Eickman of Chester, Nebraska. Mr. Randels was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge at Chester and a Spanish-American War veteran. He liked to recall that he was at the railroad station when the first train pulled into Chester. Funeral services were held in Fort Morgan, Colorado, on August 14, and in the Bachelor-Faulkner Funeral Home in Chester on August 15. Interment was in the Chester Cemetery.
