Description	:	Alta May Randels, daughter of Andrew and Lucinda Randels, was born May 8, 1872, near New Sharon, Iowa, and passed away at her home south of Chester December 26, 1958, at the age of 86 years and 7 months. In the year of 1880 her family moved to Republic County, Kans., where she spent the remainder of her life. Read More	Alta May Randels, daughter of Andrew and Lucinda Randels, was born May 8, 1872, near New Sharon, Iowa, and passed away at her home south of Chester December 26, 1958, at the age of 86 years and 7 months. In the year of 1880 her family moved to Republic County, Kans., where she spent the remainder of her life. She received her education at the Brick School, south of Chester, which is now known as Excelsior. On February 27, 1890, she was united in marriage to C. Emery Larkins. To this union were born three children: Mabel, Frank and Ethel. When quite young she united with the United Brethern (sic) Church at Excelsior and later transferred to the church at Chester. She attended Sunday School at Excelsior, Liberty Center, Prairie Flower and the Methodist Church at Chester where she was a member of the Keystone Class until age and ill health prevented her attendance. She was a member of the Home Department and was an honorary member of the W.S.C.S. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, three brothers and four sisters. Surviving her are three children, Mrs. Mabel Whitman of Corona Del Mar, Calif., Frank of Chester, Mrs. Ethel Pedersen of Fort Morgan, Colo., 11 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, one great, great, grandchild, three sisters: Mrs. Fannie Spafford of Fort Morgan, Colo., Mrs. Adah Hussey of Denver, Colo., Mrs. Mattie Eickman of Chester; a brother, Chas. Randels of Fort Morgan, Colo., a sister-in-law, Mrs. Bertie Randels of Fort Morgan, Colo., and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Monday, Dec. 29, 1858 (sic), at 2:00 p.m. from the Chester Methodist Church, Rev. Amos Rundus and Rev. Duane Hutchinson officiating. Carl Johnson sang accompanied by Mrs. Robert Weary at the organ. Casket bearers were Fred Thompson, Lee George, Dean Swaney, Ivan Swaney, Erskine Eickmann and Delmar Larkins. Interment was made in the Chester cemetery (sic).
