Foust officiating, with burial in the Nelson cemetery (sic). The Nelson Gazette (Nelson, NE), Thursday, June 12, 1941 =========== Frederick Burton Rennick, the oldest son of Thomas J. & Lettie A. Rennick was born in Stark county, Illinios, near Toulon, August 16, 1873 and departed this life at his home five miles northeast of Nelson at the age of 67 years, 9 months and 24 days. He came to Nebraska with his parents in 1879, where he always lived on the same farm except for the first year. On April 2, 1916 he was united in marriage to Luella Dillon. About the year 1918 he obeyed the Gospel call and accepted Christ, and lived a consecrated Christian life and attended the worship and fellowship as long as his health permitted. But whether able to be present at the Lord's Table or not he always was ready to follow the True Religion, helping those in sickness, sorrow or distress. He was a true and loving husband. His parents preceded him in death. He leaves to mourn his departure his wife, Luella, and two brothers, Ernest of Nora and Onnie of Nelson, and many relatives and friends. We travel down a winding road, A road without an end And they who seem so far away, Are only 'round the bend. They face a brighter sunshine, Softer breezes, skies more blue, And sometime in their happiness They'll meet again with you. So let not your heart be troubled -- It is true that in the end Happiness will follow sorrow, When you meet aroud (sic) the bend. Funeral services were conducted at the home Friday, June 13, by Rev. C.M. Foust. CARD OF THANKS We wish to thank everyone for your help, kind words of sympathy, beautiful flowers, and any kindnesses in caring for and helping during the illness and death of our dear husband and brother.
