RENNICK Died at her home in west Nelson, Wednesday evening about 9 o'clock. Deceased was seventy-five years old and has been a long-time resident of Nuckolls county (sic), coming here from Illinois in an early day. She with her husband moved in from the farm, northeast of Nelson, last fall, and they were just completing the remodeling in a modern way their home. The bereaved family have the sympathy of a host of friends in the loss of wife and mother. The funearl (sic) has been arranged for ten o'clock Friday morning at the Methodist church. ==== The Nelson Gazette (Nelson, NE), Thursday, April 8, 1920; pg. 5 LETTIE ANNIE BOWERS was born in Fayette county (sic), Pa., February 27, 1845, and died at her home in Nelson, Nebraska, on Wednesday night, March 31, 1920 at the age of 75 years, 1 month and 4 days. When thirteen years of age she came with her parents to Toulon, Stark county (sic), Ills. Here she was united in marriage to Thos. J. Rennick October 1, 1872. In 1879 Mr. and Mrs. Rennick migrated to Nebraska, and settled in Nuckolls county (sic), which has been their home from that time until this. To these parents were born three children: Frederick B, Ernest C. and Alonzo E. all of whom reside in this county. Besides these sons and husband who are left to mourn her death, there are several grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. E.E. Beers of Edgar, and one brother, Mr. Samuel Bowers of Washington state. Mrs. Rennick's religious life began in her early teens. At the age of fourteen years she was converted and united with the Baptist church in Toulon, Ills. When she came to Nebraska her membership was transferred to the Baptists (sic) church in Nelson, where she remained a faithful member and worker as long as that organization continued. Upon its dissolution she, together with her husband, united with the Methodist church and they have ever been among the valued members. Mrs. Rennick gave clear witness in the last days of her life of her acceptance with God and of her being fully prepared to enter into His presence. There are many friends who will miss her and whose sympathy is extended to these bereaved friends in this hour of their sorrow. The funearl (sic) occurred from the M.E. church (sic) on Friday morning at ten o'clock, the Pastor officiating.
