Description	:	Frederick Cooper Foster youngest son of Joseph C. and Marie Kingham Foster, was born Jan 25, 1864, in Knox county, Ill, and passed away July 30, 1947, at the home of his daughter, Mrs R.A. Cox in Sutherland, Neb, where he and Mrs Foster were spending the summer. He was 83 years, six months and five days of age. Read More	Frederick Cooper Foster youngest son of Joseph C. and Marie Kingham Foster, was born Jan 25, 1864, in Knox county, Ill, and passed away July 30, 1947, at the home of his daughter, Mrs R.A. Cox in Sutherland, Neb, where he and Mrs Foster were spending the summer. He was 83 years, six months and five days of age. When he was 11 years old the family moved to Iowa, first living west of Clarinda, moving later to the Hatfield place south of Clarinda. In 1884 they moved to the Hardin Davison homestead in East River township. Here Mr Foster resided continuously for 63 years. He was a farmer and stock raiser being actively engaged in this business until the age of 80 years when he was stricken with a heart ailment. In 1894 he was united in marriage with Eva E. Reed. To this union two daughters were born, Evelyn Faye and Fredonia Chattie. The mother and Evelyn Faye passed away many years ago. On Nov 24, 1915, he was married to Ersa L. Pace, who with his daughter, Mrs Chattie Cox, survive him. He was a 32nd degree Mason, and was an active member of Covenant Lodge No 453 of New Market. He was also a member of the New Market Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. He leaves his wife, Mrs Ersa Foster of New Market, his daughter, Mrs R.A. Cox of Sutherland, Neb, three grandchildren, Charlotte Cox of Cleveland, Ohio, John and Fred of Sutherland, Neb, many other relatives and a host of warm friends. The services were held Aug 2, 1947, in the Methodist church in New Market, conducted by Rev E.L. Field of the Baptist church, assisted by Rev Clarence Moore of the Methodist church. Mrs Pauline Pace Peve sang, accompanied by Mrs Ben Anderson. Pallbearers were Estle Foster, Harold Foster, Ray Foster, Merritt Foster, Richard Graham and John Cox. Honorary bearers were I.N.. Millhone, Billy Noble, Ray Herren, George Moore and Bennie Pullan. Services at the grave side were conducted by Covenant Lodge Oration was recited by Don Foreman of Sunlight Lodge No 459 of Gravity. Those attending from a distance were Mr and Mrs R.A. Cox of Sutherland, Mr and Mrs F.E. Valentine of Minneapolis, J.B. Foster of St Peter, Minn, Mrs Bertie Sabin of Harrisonville, Mo, Mrs Pauline Peve of Hopkins, Mrs Helen Clark, Mrs D.D. Ford and Mrs Leila Jackson of Shenandoah, Emory P.
