Description	:	DEATH OF F.H.STEINFORD Aged Resident of this Community Passes Away at Home of His Daughter, Monday Fritz H. Steinford, a resident of this community for the past thirty years, died at an early hour Monday morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. John Thede where he had made his home since the death of his wife in 1916. Steinford, a resident of this community for the past thirty years, died at an early hour Monday morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. John Thede where he had made his home since the death of his wife in 1916. Mr. Steinford was long a familiar figure in this community, but of late his failing health made confinement to the house necessary. The ultimate cause of death was dropsy. Mr. Steinford was born in Germany December 13, 1841, and at the time of his death was aged 78 years, 5 months and 17 days. On April 26, 1869 he was married to Rieka Lena Rieberg, and to this union were born eleven children, all but one of whom survive. They are Mrs Peter Kruse, Peterson, Iowa; Mrs Claus Koep, Spencer; Mrs. Chas Garling, Luzerne; Mrs. John Thede, Keystone; Mrs Thos. Barry, Van Horne; Mrs Richard Andresen, Keystone; Mrs. Otto Andresen, Elberon, Gus Steinford of Blairstown; Herman and John Steinford of Keystone. Mr. Steinford and family came to America in May, 1882 coming direct to Benton county where they resided on a farm until 1912 when the parents moved to Keystone. Mrs. Steinford died Dec. 6, 1916. Funeral services were held at the Thede home at 1 o'clock and from the Lutheran church at 1:30 today, in charge of Rev. G. Francke, and internment was made in the Keystone cemetery.
