Read More	FROM The Keystone Bulletin 2/29/1928 Death of Herman Steinford The sudden death of Herman Steinford at his home one mile west of Keystone Tuesday morning was a severe shock to the entire community in which he had lived all his life and wherein he had a large circle of friends and acquaintances. While he had not been in rugged health for a period of several years, Mr. Steinford appeared to be feeling as well as usual Tuesday morning when he went to the barn to hitch up his team preparatory to the days work. As he did not appear from the barn in the time Mrs. Steinford thought he should have done, the youngest boy was sent out to see if everything was all right and quickly returned to the house reporting that his father was down on the floor and appeared to be dead. Mrs. Steinford calling neighbors to her assistance succeeded in getting the stricken man to the house, but death had apparently come before the medical aid quickly summoned had reached the home. The physician in attendance pronounced it a case of paralysis. Herman Steinford, a son of Fritz and Riecke Rieberg Steinford was born in Benton county Nov. 20, 1886, and died at his home near Keystone at 8:30 a.m. Feb. 28,1928. aged 41 years, 3 months and 4 days. On Feb. 5, 1913 he was married to Miss Henrietta Pohlmann and to this union were born two sons and a daughter, Clarence, Margaret and Marvin who with the widowed wife and mother survive him. He is also survived by seven sisters and two brothers. Funeral services will be held from the late home Friday afternoon at 1 o'clock and from the church at 1:30 and will be in charge of Rev. A. W. Brauer of the Ev. Lutheran church. Internment will be made in the Keystone cemetery.
