FINAL RIGHTS SUNDAY FOR FRED VETTER Funeral Services for Fred Vetter, who died Thursday morning, August 19, were held at the home and at St. Paul's American Lutheran church Sunday afternoon, with the pastor, Rev. W. E. F. Meier in charge. Burial was in the church cemetery north of town. Fredrick John Henry Vetter, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Vetter, was born near Manson, on the 3rd day of October, 1888. On February 22, 1911, he was united in marriage to Pauline Pietsch of Pomeroy. This union was blessed with four children, two daughters, and two sons, who survive their father. Immediately after their marriage the young couple moved to the farm two miles north of Manson. There they lived for 24 years. In March, 1935, the family moved to a farm near Pomeroy where they lived for five years. In 1940 Mr. and Mrs. Vetter returned to Manson, having bought a farm close to the west end of town. One remarkable and unusual feature in connection with the life of Mr. Vetter, is that all facts regarding his religious life, his baptism, his confirmation, his marriage and his death, are all recorded in the same church records. Besides his wife, Mr. Vetter is survived by two daughters, Eleanore and Marie, now Mrs. Arthur Mohr, both of Pomeroy; two sons, Edwin and Marilyn, both at home, two brothers William and August; three sisters, Mrs. Herman Freese, Mrs. Wm. Junkman and Mrs. Emma Johnson, all of Manson, and many other relatives and friends.
