Mardorf, officiating Soloists during the service were Miss. Sharon Folkers and Roger Oberhelman with Miss. Blandina Steinbrink organist. Pallbearers were J. G. Vetter, son of John and Minnie Liest Vetter, was born on Dec. 9, 1878, on a farm three miles north of Manson. He grew to manhood in that community, was confirmed in the Lutheran faith by Rev. E. Herrmannon March 26, 1893. On December 9, 1893 he was united in marriage with Miss Cecilia Kuhrt of Pomeroy. They followed the farming profession on the family farm until he retired in 1927. For the past several years he has been ailing in health. Recently he underwent surgery and complications following the operation brought on his death on Wednesday, Oct. 29, at the age of 73 years, 10 months and 20 days. He is survived by his wife, four daughters, Lauretta, Mrs. Willis Meier, Kasson, Minn.; Cecilia, Mrs Vernon Benson, Manson; Esther, Mrs. Fred Oberhelman, Pomeroy; and Ardella, Mrs. Evert Weimers, of Manson; two sisters, Mrs. Emma Johnson, of Manson and Mrs. Minnie Junkman, of Manson, 7 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
