Read More	From The Wolbach Messenger, April 21, 1960, page 1, transcribed by Linda Berney: Rites Wednesday for Mrs. Klein, Wolbach's Eldest Citizen at 92 -- Freidericka Wilhemena Boeck Klein was born August 23, 1867 at Pekin, Illinois, the child of John F. Boeck and his wife, Flomtje Tjaden. When she was yet a small child, she moved with her parents to Long Branch (near Humboldt), Nebr. When she grew older, she and her mother moved to a homestead in Rockland, Colorado. It was while living at the Rockland homestead that she met her husband. Freidericka Boeck was united in Holy Matrimony to Andrew A. Klein on July 11, 1889 at Rockland. After a short time, the couple moved to Sutton, Nebraska, and then on to the S. E. Seavey homestead, northeast of Wolbach, which they purchased. It was at this home that the Kleins reared their family. Born to this union were Edward Klein of Sutton, Nebr; Mrs. Emma Glines of Alliance, Nebr; Mrs. Anna Slattery of Scotia, Neb; Mrs. Minnie Glines of Cushing, Nebr., Mrs. Rosena Allen of St. Paul, Neb, and Mrs. Dora Lantz, Herman Klein and Albert Klein of Wolbach. When her husband pased away in 1942, Mrs. Klein moved into Wolbach, where she was to spend the greater part of her remaining life. In August of last year she broke her hip and after a brief hospitalization, was moved to the rest home at Palmer, Nebr. Death came to her on April 16, 1960 while in residence there. She was 92 years, 7 months, and 24 days of age. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, four brothers and one sister, and her son, William. She leaves behind, in addition to her children, 13 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Klein was baptized into the Lutheran faith as an infant and was confirmed in that faith on Palm Sunday of 1882 at the Lutheran Church, Long Branch, Nebr. She had been a member of Trinity Lutheran in Wolbach since 1944. In her passing Trinity Church loses its oldest member and Wolbach its oldest citizen. She was known to practically everyone as Grandma Klein.
