Read More	Bridgetown Weekly Monitor - June 6, 1923 - Page 4 Mrs. Henry Beals - On Monday evening, May 28th, Freelove, the beloved wife of Henry Beals, passed peacefully away to her reward, at the age of seventy years. Mrs. Beals had been in failing health for some time, and was confined to her bed for the past few weeks, so the end was not unexpected. She professed faith in Christ many years ago, and was a devoted member of the Baptist Church and as long as health permitted her seat was seldom vacant. She was a good neighbor, a friend of the needy, very hospitable in her home, and a bountiful giver to any object she thought worthy. The large number of relatives and friends, which gathered at her late home on Wednesday afternoon to pay their last tributes of respect, testify to the esteem in which she was held. The funeral service was conducted by her pastor, Rev. A. H. Whitman, assisted by Rev. W. H. Rackham. Mr. Whitman spoke comforting words from the text: "For to Me to Live is Christ, and to Die is Gain". The hymns sung were "Rock of Ages", "Asleep in Jesus", "The Christian's Good Night" and "Does Jesus Care", as the casket was tenderly borne from the home. Internment was at the Whitman cemetery. Her passing leaves a vacancy hard to fill. She leaves to mourn their loss, a husband, two sons, Archie and Dudley, at home, who so tenderly cared for her; one daughter, Mrs. Frank Stevens, of East Chester, who we regret, was unable to be present on account of ill health, and one brother, Rupert Calahan, of this place. These all have the heart-felt sympathy of a large circle of friends. The floral tributes were beautiful, and were evidence of the love held for the departed. Per Chris Bent
