W. Rink Funeral services are pending at Warne Funeral Home in Hooper for Friedericka W. Rink, 95 years old, who passed away Monday evening at the Good Samaritan Home in Scribner. She was born October 14, 1882 north of Hooper and has lived in this area her entire lifetime, except from 1958 to 1969 when she lived in Galesburg, Illinois, and then several years in Fremont. She married Emil Rink on June 29, 1905 at St. Johns Lutheran Church, Hooper. He preceded her in death on June 13, 1958. She was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church Hooper. Surviving her are three sons, Herbert of Scribner, Edgar of Fremont and Roland of Prescott, Arizona; two daughters, Cornelia Havekost of Springfield, Oregon and Mrs. Roy (Loretta) Drasites of Galesburg, Illinois; seventeen grandchildren, thirty-five great grandchildren and fourteen great-great grandchildren. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Obituary The Scribner Rustler January 4, 1978 Services Held For Mrs. Emil Rink Funeral services for Mrs. Emil (Friedericka) Rink were held Saturday, Dec. 31, at 10:30 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church in Hooper. Rev. Kenneth Ernstmeyer officiated and burial was in St. John's Cemetery north of Hooper. Warne Funeral home of Hooper was in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Rink was born on a farm north of Hooper to Mr. and Mrs. Casper Moeller, on Oct. 14, 1882. She was baptized and confirmed in St. John's Lutheran Church of Hooper. She lived in the Hooper community all of her life, except for several years in Fremont, and 11 years in Galesburg, ILL. from 1958-1969. She was married to Emil Rink on June 29, 1905. He preceded her in death on June 13, 1958. Three daughters also preceded her in death. Survivors include sons, Herbert of Scribner, Edgar of Fremont, and Roland of Prescott, Ariz., daughters, Mrs. Cornelia Havekost of Springfield, Ore., and Mrs. Roy (Loretta) Drasites of Galesburg, Ill.; 17 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great- grandchildren. Pallbearers were Randy and Warren Rink, Mike and Gary Drasites, and Dave and Kevin Mattson. Note: These 2 obituaries were received from Judy Ellis Czamecki in January, 2000.
