Description	:	George Sole was born December 7, 1859, at Little Dounham, Cambridgeshire, England, where he grew to manhood, serving for a time in the English Army, during which time he was stationed at Malta, Gibratlar and in India. Mr. Sole came to America in 1885, stopping in Illinois for a short time, then came on to Fairmont, Neb., where he lived on adjoining farms until 1910, when he moved to Geneva and engaged in the dairy business. He was married in April, 1886, to Anna Jane Holland of Ely, Cambridgeshire, England, at Fairmont, Neb., Rev. C. H. Abernathy, pastor... He was married in April, 1886, to Anna Jane Holland of Ely, Cambridgeshire, England, at Fairmont, Neb., Rev. C. H. Abernathy, pastor of the Congregational Church, of which he became a member. he later transferred his membership to the Congregational Church of Geneva. To Mr. and Mrs. Sole were born ten children, Bennie, Dorothy, Ruby, Elsie, Arthur H. Alwyne E. Edwin, who died in infancy, Clarence, Henry and Carol. Mrs. Sole died last May. Mr. Sole passed away at his home in Geneva at 4:30 p.m. July 24, 1922, aged 62 years, 7 months and 17 days. The funeral took place at the home at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 26, 1922, and was conducted by Rev. C. P. Lang, pastor of the Fairmont Methodist Church. Interment was in the cemetery at Fairmont.
