Description	:	Clarence Sole, son of George Sole and Anna Jane Holland, was born at Fairmont, Nebr., Dec. 17, 1892. His early childhood days were spent on the farm east of Fairmont, where he attended Dist. 28 school. He was baptized as an infant and attended the Congregational Church and Sunday School at Fairmont. His early childhood days were spent on the farm east of Fairmont, where he attended Dist. 28 school. He was baptized as an infant and attended the Congregational Church and Sunday School at Fairmont. In 1910 he moved to Geneva, Nebr. Here he helped his parents with their dairy farm and served as head engineer at the Girls Training School until he was called into military service during World War I. He was married to Alleen Loretta Smith of Fairmont Nov. 5, 1927. To this union was born four children, one daughter, Marianne, and three sons, Eugene, Lloyd and Allan. He and his family moved to Nelson, Nebr., March 6, 1934. His wife, Alleen, passed to her heavenly home May 11, 1938. Clarence took the responsibility of raising his little family, acting as both mother and father to them. He had been in failing health for several years. He entered the Veterans Hospital at Grand Island Jan. 3, 1962. Here he was confined until his death Nov. 23, 1962, at the age of 69 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, his brothers, Arthur, Alwyne and Dr. Henry, and his sisters, Bernice Sole and Dorothy Huston. A brother, Edwin, died in infancy. He is survived by his children, Marianne Stineman, Clarence Eugene, Arthur Lloyd and Allan David Sole, all of Nelson, and two daughters-in-law, Beverly Sole and Doris Sole, one son-in-law, Wilford Stineman, ten grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Ruby Walton of Geneva and Dr. Elsie Sole of Denver, Colo., a brother, Carl Sole of Hastings, a host of nieces and nephews and many friends. Clarence was a lover of nature. He loved growing things, especially trees and flowers. He was fond of gardening, hunting and fishing were his favorite pasttimes. He will be sadly missed by his surviving loved ones. Funeral services were held at the Klawitter Chapel at 2:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 26, with Chaplain Moser of the Grand Island Veterans Hospital officiating. Music was furnished by Mrs. Ivan Gharring and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Ferebee. The pallbearers were Harold, Keith and Ernest Sole, Melvin Whiteley, William Ruh and James Hochreiter.
