Was married at Falls City, Nebraska, in November, 1892, to Miss Pearl Wagner. They afterward moved to Plattsmouth, Neb., and remained about five months and then removed to Lake City, Iowa, where they have since resided. George Butrick was the son of T. J. and Jennie Butrick. Both father and mother together with brothers and a large circle of friends are among those who mourn the sad ending of a man who was ever kind and a willing worker for his family and always ready to do a good turn for a friend or a neighbor in need. The funeral services were held at the home in this city on Monday afternoon at three o'clock and were conducted by Rev. Bertch of the U. B. church. A large circle of friends join in sympathy for the bereaved family. As an evidence that George Butrick had at times evinced care for the future of his family, he had carried $1000 insurance in the Maccabees, $1250 in a railway order and lastly $1000 in the Fidelity Mutual, but at the time of his death all had lapsed.
