After securing the necessary state papers, they went to the M.E. parsonage where the services of Rev. E.A. Moore were secured to say the service that would make them husband and wife and the ceremony was performed at 3 o’clock. They returned to Prescott the same evening, where they are receiving the hearty congratulations and well wishes of their friends for a long, happy, and prosperous journey on the matrimonial sea. They will begin housekeeping in a short time at Prescott, where the groom has a position as clerk in the Johnson hardware store. Adams County Free Press Wed, Mar 6, 1918, Corning, IA: On Wednesday, February 27, 1918, occurred the marriage of Beulah Allison and George Wilson, at Corning. They journeyed to Corning and were accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Ray Polson. Mrs. Polson is a sister of the bride. Rev. E.A. Moore performed the ceremony at the M.E. parsonage. A wedding supper was given at the home of the bride. Mrs. Wilson is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Allison. Mr. Wilson is the youngest son of Mrs. William Wilson. They will make their home in Prescott. They are receiving the congratulations of friends. May 1976, Prescott Argus or Adams County Free Press (NOTE: Birthdate is incorrect.): George W. Wilson, son of William R. Wilson and Sarah Jane Cramer Wilson, was born October 19, 1897 in Montgomery County, Iowa and passed away May 20, 1976 at Colonial Manor nursing home at the age of 88 years, 7 months and one day. George had been in failing health the last year and had lived at Colonial Manor for about one week. He moved to Adams County when he was about 5 years old and started to school where he did graduate from Prescott Schools. George did not enter the first World War as he had been injured while working on his job on the railroad. After his retirement from the railroad he then helped his sister and brother-in-law Tom and Lou Johnson in a grocery and hardware store. George was united in marriage with Beulah Allison on February 27, 1918. They had no children of their own but helped several children in and around the Prescott area. George will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him, the young and the elderly. He is the last one of the William Wilson family. George was preceded in death by his wife and his parents; five sisters, Edith Young, Maude Carey, Lula Johnston, Ruth Florence, and infant sister Etta; and by one brother Matt Wilson. Funeral services were held Saturday, May 22, 1976 at the Larkin-Roland Funeral Home in Corning at 2 p.m. with Rev. Donald Briley officiating. Music was by Dorothy Cook. Casket bearers were F.A. Williams, Gene Narigon, John Reed, Ed Reed, Dow L. Keever and Forrest McGregor. Interment was in Evergreen cemetery at Prescott, Iowa.
