W. SAILORS ANSWERS SUMMONS George Washington Sailors Died at His Home in Barada After Illness Covering a Period of More Than Seven Years. George Washington Sailors died at his home in Barada Thursday, May 14th at 12:15 a.m. after an illness of more than seven years: death being due to a complication of diseases. Mr. Sailors was born February 12, 1861 at Wabash, Indiana. He came with his parents to Richardson county in 1866, he being only five years old, and has made his home here since then. He was married October 22, 1882 to Miss Maude Hendricks. He followed the profession of farming and was in that line of work until eight years ago, when he left the home farm two miles north of Barada and moved to Barada to retire and take life easier in his older days. Besides his wife, he leaves four sons, Vet, Vert and Graydon Sailors of Barada and Raymond of Stella, and two daughters, Mrs. Fred Marmet and Mrs. Mabel Nelson of Falls City. He is also survived by four sisters, Mrs. Emma Hood, Barada; Mrs. Charles Slagle, Shubert; Mrs. Lottie Evans, Broken Bow and Mrs. Velistial Murdock, Milford, Utah; and one brother, Orna Sailors of Barada. Mr. Sailors was a member of the Christian church and was ever ready to assist in church or any proposition that was for the betterment of the community in which he lived, was a kind father and husband, and a respected citizen in the community where he was so well known and had spent so many years. The funeral will be held Saturday, May 16th at 2:00 from the Evangelical church, services in charge of Rev. Ritzen. Burial will be made in the Harris cemetery.
