Description	:	Funeral Held Sunday for George Myers, 84 George W. Myers, 84, died at Lundberg Memorial Hospital Friday, Nov. 22, after an illness of about two months. Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon at the Grace Bible Church. The Rev. Jim Miller, pastor, officiated, assisted by the Rev. Peter Quiring of Avon, S.D., a former pastor. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers were Leland George, Leonard Pahl, Michael Thompson, Stanley Ehrenberg, William Meikle and Earl Kamrath. George W. Myers, son of John D. and Caroline Myers, was born Aug. 20, 1884, near Council Bluffs, Ia. He attended grade school near his home. He married Ethel M. Smith on March 4, 1914, at the home of the bride's parents near Oto, Ia. Nine children were born to them. They farmed near Plainview before moving to a farm northeast of Creighton where they have resided for 50 years. Mr. Myers was a member of the Grace Bible Church. Survivors are his widow; children, Miss Florence Myers, Junior, Gerald and Milton of Creighton, Mrs. Bruce (Ruth) Bennett of Winnetoon, Donald of Verdigre, Mrs. Clarence (Dorothy) Zila of Plainview, Mrs. Wendell (Vera) Strope and Mrs. Clarence (Genevieve) Hall of Orchard; 28 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
