(Smith) Myers was born August 26, 1927, at Creighton, Nebraska. Junior grew up on the Myers family farm in Cleveland Township, northeast of Creighton, and graduated from Creighton High School. (Smith) Myers was born August 26, 1927, at Creighton, Nebraska. Junior grew up on the Myers family farm in Cleveland Township, northeast of Creighton, and graduated from Creighton High School. After graduation, Junior entered the Army, serving his country faithfully. Upon discharge, he returned to the family farm. In 1949, he married Barbara Herrick in Creighton. One child, Danny, was born to them. Two years later, they moved to Omaha, Nebraska, where Junior was employed with Burlington Northern Railroad as engineer. During this time, Junior and Barbara were divorced. Shortly after, Junior and his son returned to the family farm where he spent the reminder of his life in farming. He was a member of Grace Bible Church, Veteran's of Foreign Wars, and Farm Bureau. Junior served for many years on the Cleveland Township board. Junior is survived by: son, Danny L. (Kelsie) Myers of Creighton, Nebraska; grandson, Nathan Weisser of Kansas City, Missouri; sister, Ruth Bennett of Winnetoon, Nebraska; brothers, Milton (Lucille) Myers of Creighton, Nebraska, Gerald (Vida) Myers of Creighton, Nebraska, and Don (Sue) Myers of San Antonio, Texas and a host of relatives and friends. Junior was preceded in death by: parents, George and Ethel Myers; sisters, Florence Myers, Dorothy Zila, Vera Strope, and Genevieve Hall; and brothers-in-law, Clarence Hall, Bruce Bennett, Wendell Strope, and Clarence Zila. Burial was in the Greenwood Cemetery, Creighton, NE.
