She was the daughter of John W. and Elizabeth Copper, born at Iowa Falls, Iowa, January 7, 1877. On April 16, 1944, she was married to William Pilcher at Glasco, Kansas. She was the daughter of John W. and Elizabeth Copper, born at Iowa Falls, Iowa, January 7, 1877. On April 16, 1944, she was married to William Pilcher at Glasco, Kansas. Her mother, father, and husband preceded her in death. All of the other seven brothers and sisters of this family of eight are still living -- ranging in age from 68 to 88 years. She was a devoted Christian and had been a member of the Methodist Church at Glasco for many years. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star of Glasco. Those surviving are: five brothers, Ed, of Stockton, Kans.; Fred, of Glasco; Vernon of Gretley, Colo.; Orval, of Plainville; and Ray, of Logan, Iowa; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Hare, of Toronto, Kans.; and Mrs. Florence Brinegar, of Wichita; also several nieces and nephews, and a host of friends. Funeral services were held at the Smith Funeral Chapel at Stockton Wednesday, March 6, at 10:00 a.m. Services were held at the Methodist Church in Glasco at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Roger Shanks officiating. Interment was at the Glasco Cemetery, Dean Funeral Home of Glasco in charge of arrangements. (Thank you to Cheryl White #47328595 for the obituary.)
