Passalaqua, 81, Batavia, died Thursday at 10:50 p.m. at the Jefferson County Hospital where he had been a patient since Jan. 3. Last rites will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. D. O. VanDyne officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. G. B. "Joe" Passalaqua, was born August 15, 1887, in Sicily, the son of Sam and Luca Augusta Passalaqua. He was reared and educated in Sicily. He came to the United States at the age of 21 and was naturalized about six years ago. On April 26, 1926, he was married to Malissa Jane Samons (sic). She died July 24, 1938. A member of the Baptist Church, he was preceded in death by three sisters. He is survived by one brother, Guiseppe Passalaqua, Batavia, and several nieces and nephews.
