She is also predeceased by her husband, J. Dudley Lane; two brothers, Olyn Lane and Kenneth Lane; a sister, Emma Lee Nolan; and two brother-in-laws, C. G. Whaley and Liston Nolan. Mrs. Lane was a graduate of Winthrop University. She was an elementary school and music teacher, and member of Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority. She retired from Latta Primary School. Mrs. Lane was a member of Ebenezer Southern Methodist Church where she was the Music Director for 56 years. Surviving are a son, Charles S. Lane of Temperance Hill; a daughter Bonnie L. Register (Allen) of Columbia; two brothers, Theo Lane (Lou) of Dillon and Bobby Lane (Clara) of Marion; two sisters, Carolyn Whaley of Marion and Jean Allen (Clyde) of Sellers, SC; and 2 grandchildren.
