Description	:	Grandma was a 12th Generation American on the Guernsey side. She was a Republican, American Legion Auxiliary State President, Episcopal Church Women President, Mason Eastern Star State President and matriarch of the family until Alzheimer's took her mentally from us. Every year, Thanksgiving and Christmas were held in her home. She was secretary to Governor Nils Boe and state worker until her retirement. In her early days, she was a teacher at a small rural school close to Pumpkin Center, SD. She graduated from General Beadle Teacher's School (now Dakota State) in 1945.
