The little three months old baby, boy Cleo, who was so low at the time of her (sic) mother's death was taken to the hospital and is very bad yet. Gladys Myrtle Parker, was born to Mr. and Mrs. E. S. Parker September 25, 1896 at Adelphi Iowa, and was taken from this life December 3, 1918 at Altoona, at the age of 22 years, 2 months and 8 days. She leaves to mourn loss her husband Chas. Anderson to whom she was married February 28, 1912 and their three children Pauline age 5, Marvin age 3, and the youngest Cleo, a babe of but three months of age. Besides these, in whose lives the deceased can never be replaced, she leaves her parents Mr. and Mrs. E. S. Parker of Altoona, three brothers, Homer, Otis, and Cecil and one sister Maggie. At the time of her death the deceased was a member of the church at Adelphi, Iowa. It was in the fellowship of this people that she sought he (sic) who alone can save us for time and eternity. With the immediate relatives there are a host of other relatives and friends who mourn her loss as one whom they will miss as a true friend. The funeral services were conducted in the yard at the home by Rev. M. R. Wilson, pastor of the Church of Christ, after which the body was taken to Vandalia cemetery and laid to rest in the family lot beside other relatives.
