Description	:	Goldie Fern Beckius, the daughter of Fred Carl and Emma (Bartlet (sic)) Norwood, was born on December 3, 1912 at Mt. Clare, Nebraska. She passed away on January 16, 2004 at the Good Samaritan Center in Superior, Nebraska at the age of 91 years, 1 month and 13 days. Goldie was one of seven children. Read More	Goldie Fern Beckius, the daughter of Fred Carl and Emma (Bartlet (sic)) Norwood, was born on December 3, 1912 at Mt. Clare, Nebraska. She passed away on January 16, 2004 at the Good Samaritan Center in Superior, Nebraska at the age of 91 years, 1 month and 13 days. Goldie was one of seven children. She attended school in Cadams and Nelson, Nebraska. On December 15, 1928 she was united in marriage to Joseph Beckius at Mankato, Kansas. This union was blessed with four children. Goldie was a longtime employee of the Armour Creamery in Superior. Goldie lived in Central City, Nebraska after the Armoury closed. She entered the Superior Good Samaritan Center on January 13, 2000, where she resided until her death. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband Joseph A. on June 8, 1989, two sons, Donald and Dick Beckius, two brothers, Ray and Carl Norwood and two sisters, Opal Soper and Pearl Brown. Survivors include one son, Joseph D. and wife Hettie of Hayward, California; and one daughter, Evelyn Warne and husband Burt of Mankato, Kansas; one brother, Virgil Norwood and wife Irene of Salina, Kansas; and one sister, June Persinger of Superior, Nebraska; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews other relatives and a host of friends. Funeral services were held on January 19, 2004 at 10:30 AM from the Megrue-Price Funeral Home Chapel in Superior, Nebraska with Pastor Leslie Warner officiating. Music was provided by Carlita Erickson, organist. Pallbearers were Cory Beckius, David Warne, Chase Warne, Jacob Gouldie, Tim Gouldie and Rod Beam.
