Description	:	BEAVER CITY — Harold F. Stagemeyer, 90, of Beaver City died Wednesday, March 18, 2015, at Beaver City Manor. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Arapahoe with the Rev. James Moshier officiating. Burial will be at St. Matthews Cemetery near Arapahoe. Stagemeyer, 90, of Beaver City died Wednesday, March 18, 2015, at Beaver City Manor. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Arapahoe with the Rev. James Moshier officiating. Burial will be at St. Matthews Cemetery near Arapahoe. Wenburg Funeral Home in Beaver City is in charge of the arrangements. He was born on Sept. 16, 1924, in Holbrook to Fred and Mary (Martin) Stagemeyer. He grew up in Holbrook and attended St. Matthews Parochial School northeast of Holbrook. He worked for a cattle feeder and showed cattle for the feeder across the Midwest. He married Ethel M. Hyke on March 25, 1944, in Norton, Kan. They made their home on the Stagemeyer farm north of Holbrook where they farmed and ranched. In 1948, he went to work for Hollingsworth Farm to feed cattle and work on the farm. In 1954, they moved to Hendley and worked for Ward Rice and later for Truman Mosley, both of Wilsonville. He would later move to Beaver City in 1972 to work for Jerry Warner. Harold went to work for Sperry-New Holland Manufacturing in Lexington for 10 years. After his retirement, he helped local farmers from time to time. He was a member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church, Zion Lutheran Church of Hendley and later of Trinity Lutheran Church of Arapahoe. He served on the school board at Hendley School District 99. He enjoyed going to auctions, tinkering with cars, dancing and had the ability to never meet a stranger. His life was led by his great faith and trust in the Lord. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Janet Faye Stagemeyer; son, Larry Harold Stagemeyer; daughter, Sueann Forbes; grandson, Bobby; and granddaughter, Katrina Trenchard. Harold is survived by his wife, Ethel Stagemeyer of Beaver City; sons, Randy and wife Mo Stagemeyer of Hendley and Jerry Lee Stagemeyer of Beaver City; daughters, Carol and husband Robert Lee of Norton, Kan., Waunda June and husband B.J. Morris of Stamford, Sandi and husband Gary Martin of Beaver City and Peggy Jo and husband Jason Nagy of Oxford; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
