Tom Rieke and Douglas Simpson were passing by and stoped to ask Mr. Muller if he wanted them to finish the snow shoveling. When he failed to reply, they were certain something was wrong and hurried down to inform Tom's father, Dr. G. W. Rieke. Seeing Dr. Paulson on the street, they called him and also told Wayne Mathews, all of whom went to the Muller home, where the doctor pronounced death from a coronary thrombosis. Harry B. Muller was born in his parents' home south of Victor, Iowa on Oct. 24, 1888. Since his parents were active members of the Victor Baptist church, he was guided as a child and young man in his faith in Christ as his Lord. He was baptized upon profession of his faith in 1907. He united with the Victor Baptist church and remained a member until his death. For a number of years he operated his parents' farm. then he and his brother, Walter Muller operated an implement business in Victor for nearly 30 years. He retired from this business a number of years ago, and he also retired from farming a few months ago. He was active in church and community affairs. He served as treasurer and trustee of the Victor Baptist church for many years. In the community he was active in school matters, also served on the boards of the Farmers Savings Bank and the telephone company. It was in 1920 when he was united in marriage it Edna Mueller. One daughter, Helen, was born to them. However, his first wife died in 1927, and two years later he was married to Jennie McBride. They shared their lives together until she died in October 1958. Following the death of Mrs. Muller he lived alone. Although he was retired, he continued to be active in many ways. Death came very unexpectedly following a heart failure on Friday, March 6, 1959. He had attained the age of 70 years, 4 months and 10 days. He is survived by his one daughter and son-in-law, Helen and Earl Thomas of Decatur, Nebr; two sisters, Martha Muller and Adelaide Folkerts, and two brothers, Walter and Louis Muller, all of Victor; seven grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. He will be deeply missed by his loved ones, his church, his friends and neighbors. Funeral services were held from the McAninch chapel Tuesday, March 10 at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Fred Schmidt and the Rev. N.F. Grote officiating. Arthur Lang sang two songs, "Beyond the Sunset" and "It is Well with my Soul," accompanied by the organist, Mrs. G. W. Rieke. Caring for the flowers were Mr. and Mrs. David Foster, Mrs. Wilbur Shine and Mrs. Clement Daniels. Pallbearers were Wayne Mathews, Henry Wahl, H. H. Schwiebert, Roy H. Park and Wilbur Shine. Burial was in the I.O.O.F. cemetery.
