Aschemeier, 87, of Napoleon, Ohio, died on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at Henry County Hospital in Napoleon, Ohio. She was born on July 13, 1929 in Henry County to the late Emil and Ida (Sunderman) Rohrs. On March 26, 1949 she married Harold J. Aschemeier at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Napoleon Township. He preceded her in death on May 24, 2011. Helen was a homemaker and helped her husband on the farm. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Napoleon Township where along with the help of her husband cleaned the parish hall for over 15 years. Helen is survived by her children, James Aschemeier of Middletown, Indiana, Linda (Dennis) Benien of Napoleon, Ohio, Michael Aschemeier of Defiance, Ohio, Kenneth (Sue) Aschemeier of Wauseon, Ohio, Timothy (Brenda) Aschemeier and David Aschemeier both of Defiance, Ohio; 14 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; siblings, Laura Schroeder of Defiance, Ohio, Norma Damman and Irene (Wilbur) Joost both of Napoleon, Ohio, Lavina (Melvin) Nickels of Deshler, Ohio, Doris Ann (Kenneth) Armbruster of Napoleon, Ohio, Nancy Behrman of Grelton, Ohio, Roger Rohrs of Hamler, Ohio, and Larry Rohrs of Napoleon, Ohio. She was preceded in death by a great grandson, Jensen Aschemeier; brother, Elmer Rohrs and sisters, Arleta Cohrs and Janet Norden. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Napoleon Township, Ohio. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
