To them were born eleven children, two of whom are deceased This living are Mrs. W. J. Eggleston, Villisca, Olive Tindall, Montana, Ruth, Nooksack, Washington; Florence, Lincoln, Nebraska, Pear, Aurora, Illinois, Myrtle, Des Moines, Sidney, Braddyville; Burr, Live Oak, Florida; and Arthur of Lincoln, Nebraska. Six of the children, including Mrs. Eggleston, were with their mother when she died. She leaves also two brothers, Ambey Bixler of the Highland vicinity and C. C. Strait of Villisca and three half-sisters. She was married in 1925 to Joseph Monosmith, who preceded her in death a year later. Mrs. Monosmith’s body arrived in Villisca Saturday night and was taken to the Fessler & Sutphen Funeral Home where it remained until the funeral Sunday at 11 a.m. at the Advent Christian Church, conducted by Rev. C. J. Bell. The singing was by Mrs. Helen Penwell and Mrs. Grace Welch, accompanied by Mrs. Guy Anderson, and the pallbearers were the three sons, Sidney, Burr, and Arthur, and three grandsons, Harold Bixler of Hasting, Iowa, Earl Bixler of Braddyville, and Allen Crecelius of Lincoln.
