Description	:	Helen L Borton, 88, formerly of the Clemons area, died Sunday afternoon, August 4, in Los Angeles, CA. Memorial services were held Monday at the Clemons United Church of Christ. Rev Harry Lake officiated. Burial of the cremains was in the Clemons Cemetery. Born March 2, 1903, in Liberty township, she was the daughter of Claude and Lottie Mooney Cox. Rev Harry Lake officiated. Burial of the cremains was in the Clemons Cemetery. Born March 2, 1903, in Liberty township, she was the daughter of Claude and Lottie Mooney Cox. She received her education in the area of her birth. On October 23, 1920 she married Raymond J Borton in Albion and they resided in that area until his death in the early 1930s. Thereafter she owned and operated Helen's Café in Clemons for many years until moving to the Los Angeles area. Mrs Borton was a member of the Hollywood Methodist Church and the State Center American Legion Auxiliary. Surviving are two daughters, Shirley (Mrs Jerry) Weinstein of Los Angeles, and Genevieve (Mrs H D) Pepper of Long Beach, CA; three grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; two nieces and two nephews. Preceding her in death in addition to her husband were an infant son, a brother and two sisters. August 15, 1991 State Center Enterprise.
