She was born in Appleton, Minnesota and lived in Minnesota until she met Ted Bieker, while visiting relatives in Centralia. They married in 1938 and were married until Ted's death in 1995.

She spent many years as the secretary and receptionist at Centralia Federal Savings and Loan. In later years, she loved her flowers, her quilting, her pets and her family.
