Goodrich, daughter of Joe and Minerva Goodrich, was born in Nelson, Nebraska, June 29, 1894, and passed away in Nelson May 18, 1964, at the age of 69 years, 10 months, and 19 days. She was married to Arbor Ferebee, December 16, 1914. Four children were born to this union, Shirley Peterson of Hastings, Loren of Seattle, Washington, Gene of Edgar, and James of Nelson. A member of the Methodist Church for years, and active in Sunday School, and especially the choir in which she sang for many years, she was known affectionately as "Helene". Her greatest pride... A member of the Methodist Church for years, and active in Sunday School, and especially the choir in which she sang for many years, she was known affectionately as "Helene". Her greatest pride and joy were her home, her grandchildren, her flowers and her music. She was a member of the Rebecca (sic) Lodge. Left to mourn her passing, other than her husband and children, are nine grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Marie Pfeiffer of Muscatine, Iowa; one brother, Harold Goodrich of North Bend, Washington; and a host of relatives and friends. Two brothers, Orin and Dick, and two sisters, Geneve Ferebee and Beulah White preceded her in death. Services were held at the Methodist Church at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. George Seick officiating. Burial was in the Nelson Cemetery. Pallbearers were E.G. Wroughton, Art Frey, Vic Crandell, Carl Mueller, Loren Lewis and Gene Holsteen.
