Description	:	September 24, 1943 Deer Lodge News Briggeman Rites Held Monday Funeral rites for Henry Briggeman were held Monday at the Church of the Immaculate Conception with Requiem High Mass being said by Father Landy. He had been a resident of Gold Creek for the past 53 years and passed away Friday evening, September 24, on Highway No. 10, five miles north of Deer Lodge. He had been to Butte that same afternoon where he had suffered a heart attack but had apparently recovered and wished to return home. He had been a resident of Gold Creek for the past 53 years and passed away Friday evening, September 24, on Highway No. 10, five miles north of Deer Lodge. He had been to Butte that same afternoon where he had suffered a heart attack but had apparently recovered and wished to return home. Briggeman was accompanied by Howard Radel of Gold Creek who was driving the truck when Mr. Briggeman suddenly passed away. The decased was born in Marysville, MO, on November 17, 1879 and was the youngest of his family. During his life in Montana he was engaged in farming, ranching and stock raising. Surviving relatives are a sister, Mrs. Anna Fromviller of Helmville; two brothers, Matt Briggeman of Lemhi, Idaho and Joseph Briggeman of Gold Creek and seven nephews and nieces. The Rosary was aid for him Sunday night in the chapel of the Ross mortuary. He was laid to rest in Hillcrest cemetery at the side of his wife, Mrs. Louisa Briggeman who passed away in 1922, Pallbearers were,Daniel B. Hertz, Jr. of Deer Lodge and Joseph Blessinger, R. J.Somers, Gus Brand, John Rogers, Bernard Sauber, all of GoldCreek.
