Description	:	Henry Schneider, son of Henry and Johannah Schneider, was born June 3, 1865 at Muscatine, Ia. He died May 15, 1943, aged 78 years, 11 months and 12 days, at his home near Fairmont. He came here at the age of seven years and made his home near the town site of Sawyer. For a short time he ran the elevator at Sawyer. His remaining years he spent farming near Fairmont. Read More	Henry Schneider, son of Henry and Johannah Schneider, was born June 3, 1865 at Muscatine, Ia. He died May 15, 1943, aged 78 years, 11 months and 12 days, at his home near Fairmont. He came here at the age of seven years and made his home near the town site of Sawyer. For a short time he ran the elevator at Sawyer. His remaining years he spent farming near Fairmont. September 7, 1892, he was united in marriage to Minnie Bode, who preceded him in death twelve years ago. To this union were born twelve children, eight daughters and four sons, Mrs. Rose Ellis of Idaho, Mrs. Minnie Meyers of Exeter, Henry of Lincoln, Mrs. Ada Chapman of Fairmont, Mrs. Ivy Chapman of Fairmont, Clarence of Exeter, Clifford of Fairmont, Mrs. Viola Sheldon of Portland, Ore., Mrs. Irene Lentfer of Portland, Ore., Mrs. Elsie Bures of Fairmong, Mrs. Edna Galusha of Fairmont and Leslie at home. He leaves to mourn his passing besides his children; two sisters, Mrs. Frank Bradley and Mrs. Schroder, both of Geneva; forty-one grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. He was a kind and living father, a loyal friend and neighbor and was held in highest esteem by all who knew him. Funeral services were conducted at the Federated Church at Fairmont at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 18, by Rev. E. R. King. Interment was in the Exeter Cemetery. The Nebraska Signal 20 May 1943.
