He attended the Hazel Hill grade school and the Mechanicsville High School. For 31 years he was occupied as a painter, except for about one year during 1917 and 1918, which time he served in the United States Army Air Corp, six months of which was served overseas. EDWARD KRUMROY Henry Edward Krumroy was born in Jones County, Iowa, December 1, 1889, the son of Adam and Lydia Krumroy. He attended the Hazel Hill grade school and the Mechanicsville High School. For 31 years he was occupied as a painter, except for about one year during 1917 and 1918, which time he served in the United States Army Air Corp, six months of which was served overseas. He was a charter member of the Busch~Dennis Post of the American Legion. Mr. Krumroy passed away Sunday evening, June 25th at the home of his sister, Mrs. Joseph Kohl at the age of 49 years, 6 months and 24 days. He had been in a serious condition many months and suffered greatly. Surviving him are five sisters: Mrs. Bert Humbert of Cedar Rapids, Mrs. Dave Minish of Iowa City, Mrs. Joe Kohl, Mrs. Ira Hempy and Mrs. Arthur Vanderbilt of Mechanicsville and two brothers, Frank and Kenneth, both of Mechanicsville, a number of neices and nephews and a host of friends. Funeral services were conducted from the Methodist church Wednesday afternoon, June 28, Rev. Ralph Supplee officiating, with the Busch~Dennis Legion Post in charge of the Military rites.
