Funeral services were held at the Methodist church, Mechanicsville, on Monday, May 13, at 2 p.m. Rev. James Nelson conducted the service. Internment was in Rose Hill cemetery, Mechanicsville. Pallbearers Named Pallbearers included Floyd siver, Otis Siver, Fred Kuntz, Glenn Siver, Ralph Kuntz and Dean Kuntz. Mrs. Robert Oxley was organist. Mrs. Floyd Siver was soloist. She was married to Ira Lewis Hempy, Dec. 22, 1903, at the family home. They lived on the Hempy farm for 50 years before moving to Anamosa in September of 1953, where they celebrated their Golden wedding anniversary. She was a member of White Oak Evangelical church until moving to Anamosa when they joined the Congregational church. She was a Past Matron of Evangeline chapter, Order of Eastern Star, Mechanicsville, serving as matron in the of 1943. Survivors Listed Survivors include one daughter, Violet, Mrs Merle Clifton; one sister, Pearl, Mrs. Arthur Vanderbilt, Mechanicsville; six granddaughters and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dec. 1, 1964; one son, Ivan Marion Hempy; in July of 1950; an infant daughter, Verlean Gertrude; three sisters and three brothers. = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =
