She was educated in the Hazel Hill country school. She was married to Arthur Vanderbilt at Anamosa Jan. 29, 1908. They farmed north of Mechanicsville until retiring and moving to Mechanicsville in October, 1952. She was a member of the Methodist church. Mrs. Vanderbilt is survived by her husband, Arthur and an adopted son, Burdell Humbert, Cedar Rapids. She was preceded in death by 4 sisters and 3 brothers, Mrs. Clementina Humbert, Mrs. Gertrude Minish, Mrs. Ida Kohl, Mrs. Grace Hempy and Frank, Edward and Kenneth Krumroy. = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =
