Description	:	Herman Joseph Esser, the son of Theodore and Apollonia Esser was born August 9, 1880 and passed away on February 24, at the age of 72 years. On May 26, 1908 he was married to Katherine Bissen and eleven children were born to this union. Two daughters, Viola and Virge Ann, died in infancy. Mr Esser, who had lived all of his life on a farm east of Earling, had spent Tuesday morning watching his sons butcher a beef and gone to the house to see if dinner was ready. Read More	Herman Joseph Esser, the son of Theodore and Apollonia Esser was born August 9, 1880 and passed away on February 24, at the age of 72 years. On May 26, 1908 he was married to Katherine Bissen and eleven children were born to this union. Two daughters, Viola and Virge Ann, died in infancy. Mr Esser, who had lived all of his life on a farm east of Earling, had spent Tuesday morning watching his sons butcher a beef and gone to the house to see if dinner was ready. He had on e overshoe off when he suffered a heart attack. He was taken to the Manning Hospital and died that evening at 8:30, with out regaining consciousness. Survivors include his wife, seven sons, Alex and Mark of Earling; Tony of Dunlap; Cletus of North English; Sylvan and Herman Jr. of Omaha; and Ivo of Panama; two daughters, Mrs Modesta Creager of Dexter and Mrs Marcella Kaufman of Chicago; four brothers, John and Joseph of Earling, and Chris and Paul of Redfield, South Dakota; and two sisters, Lena of Earling and Mrs Nick Gaul of Iona Lake, Minn. Funeral services will be held Friday morning at St. Joseph's Church, Earling, at 9:00 a.m. with Rev. Peter A. Bissen officiating at Requiem High Mass. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
